NATURAL SOAP WORKS RESIDENTIAL SOAP MAKING COURSE at Eynsham Hall Oxfordshire
Beginner to confident soap maker in just 3 days!
The Course: Learn about the basic raw ingredients so that you can make informed decisions about which/what to use (not all of our ingredients are organic, though some certainly are). Learn how to tailor recipes to suit your own skin type or even make a recipe from scratch. Make shampoo bars, scrubbie bars, gentle facial soaps or emollient body bars. Learn about colour, fragrance and wrapping (we promise absolutely no sparkly bright coloured flip-flop shaped stuff!) Optional afternoon covering the EU/UK regulations for those people wishing to sell their soap creations.
The Accommodation: Historic Eynsham Hall is a beautiful Grade II listed mansion, set in the heart of a 3000 acre estate, and it retains many of its traditional features (www.eynshamhall.com). The course takes place in a light airy conference room just a short walk from the main house. All meals are taken in the main house where guests can relax in the main lounge which retains its wooden floor and original stone fireplace, complemented by a new log fire burner and elegant, modern furnishings. Please note: our one day courses are NOT held at this venue. Our own workshop is located about five miles away in the village of Eynsham.
All students on the course can take advantage of the leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, squash and tennis courts. Exclusive to Natural Soap Works delegates: After a busy day playing with our lovely natural ingredients students can book an evening massage or therapy session for a small extra charge (its first come first served on this one), therapies include Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head Massage.
The Tutor: Your tutor is Jane Le Galloudec founder of the successful Eynsham Soap Company. Jane has been making soap for many years both as a hobbyist and for the last five years as a professional. Her expert guidance will take you gently through the procedures giving you food for thought along the way with her lively discussions on ‘what is natural?’
